Pantone has revealed the colour of the year is ‘Ultra Violet;’ a “provocative and thoughtful purple shade” that embodies individuality and spirituality. According to the company, it alludes to the mysteries of the cosmos and the unknown.
“The Pantone colour of the year has come to mean so much more than ‘what’s trending’ in the world of design; it’s truly a reflection of what’s needed in our world today” Laurie Pressman, vice-president of the Pantone Colour Institute.

Being somewhat bias, the flowers are (in my opinion) one of the most important parts of your wedding day, aside from the dress and the venue. If you opting for the ‘Ultra Violet’ colour scheme for the wedding day, there are a range of beautiful flowers that compliment this theme. Incorporating a spectrum of different tones in the bouquets, buttonholes and venue decor, with shades of lilac, ultra violet to deep plums.
