Achillea Design Combinations - Wholesale Flower Guide

Achillea, the perfect flower to offer a softening effect to your floral designs. In recent years, this flower has become extremely popular to use a filler flower in bouquets, table centres and other designs.

Origin

Achillea, Yarrow or Bloodwort is a genus of the Asteraceae family and typically grows in the wild across Europe, North America and temperate parts of Asia.

Achillea originally sprang from the blood of the hero Achilles, who killed at the siege of Troy. The soldiers used yarrow to treat the wounds on the battlefield, giving rise to the various names such as ‘Bloodwort.’

Shop Care Tips

To get the best from your wholesale cut Achillea please read the care instructions below carefully:

Never leave cut flowers in direct sunlight, near a radiator, in a draft or fruit. (The gas used to ripen fruit will harm most flowers). Keep the Veronica in a cool place and always keep out of the way of children.

It is a very popular flower for drying also because of its strong stems. At Christmas, Achillea is available dried in a range of colours i.e. metallic silver, bright red and gold to be used in decorations.
