Say Good Bye to Stocks & Hello to Brassica

Since the start of Apstocksril we have all been enjoying beautiful, scented stocks, (otherwise known as Matthiola). Unfortunately, it is time to say good bye to stocks for another year as they come to an end in mid August. There are a few still coming into the flower auctions but the quality is poor & the price is now high.

On the other hand it is great to see brassicas, (ornimental cabbages), back in the wholesale flower markets. Brassicas are wholesaled in wraps of 10 stems and are available in stem lengths of 55cm - 70cm. They will be available until the end of December. At Christmas time they are available dip painted in various festive colours as well as glittered.
